A Simple Connected Thermostat

The connected thermostat I was building earlier is now complete! 🌡🌡🌡

This thermostat works like a Nest Thermostat (though clearly not as pricey); collecting the current temperature and sending that information to an online server.

From API to LED: CRYPT0MANIA

Cryptomania is a sculpture designed as commentary on the cryptocurrency pandemonium. It lights up based on the 1 hour price change (a percentage value) of a particular crypto-currency – Ethereum.

Final Project, FOR FREE!

Worship of Cthulhu is a final project that costed $0 to make. NYU ITP has a lot of resources available and I tried to take advantage of them by making an assigned project FO FREE.

I hate spending money! But one lesson learned is definitely that ya get what ya pay for. This is true in terms of both item quality and consistency, as well as time and energy cost – an invisible cost upfront.

Planet Music

Planet Music is a sound visualizer on the moon! The current version has a set playlist of 6 songs that can be activated with the media player buttons. The space scene reacts to the sound using a fast Fourier transform (FFT). Here is a sample video:
