CMY colors dripped on to a canvas.
This ‘painting’ was inspired by the the CPU/GPU comparison by the guys from Mythbusters:
I wanted to make a bunch of “pixels” to hit the canvas at the same time, just like the do in the video.
To do this I decided to freeze acrylic paint in ice cube trays and let them melt & drip through holes in the bottom:
After testing some different water-to-paint ratios, I set up a full “pixel set” with some red, yellow, and blue:
